The founding story

Anthony Almeida is 21 years old and from Fall River, Massachusetts. He built Crow Vision because he lived it.

When Anthony was younger, he struggled. School felt like it was designed for everyone except him. He didn't fit the mold. He'd sit in massive classes where the teacher knew his name but not his face. He'd try to study at home but couldn't find ways that clicked with how he actually learned. He'd look around and see other smart kids feeling just as lost. Some of them gave up. Some stuck it out but never thrived. They had potential but no path to reach it.

Then, in college, something changed. He started seeing international students everywhere, in his classes, in study groups, in campus leadership, and they were excelling in every place and area. They brought perspectives he'd never encountered and ambition that reshaped how he thought about education. Watching them, he realized that talent is everywhere, but opportunity isn't. That insight became the seed of Crow Vision.

"They had great ideas. They couldn't express them. And I recognized something in them: the same feeling I'd had."

Anthony Almeida, Founder & CEO

Years later, he was working at summer programs watching talented kids from other countries. Kids who were clearly smart, clearly motivated. Kids who should have been thriving. But they weren't. They were struggling not because they lacked ability but because they couldn't communicate in English at the level they needed. And when they went looking for help, the options were terrible: enormous classes where no one knew their name, generic apps that felt like games, or tutoring so expensive that only rich families could afford it.

He started imagining what a real solution would look like. Not another app. Not a massive course with ten thousand students. Something that actually works. An AI that listens and keeps the conversation going. A proper curriculum. And practice that never stops, without charging more money.

He built the first version of Crow Vision in his last year before college. The name came from the crow, one of the most intelligent animals in the world. Not because it has the biggest brain. But because it learns, adapts, and solves problems. It doesn't give up. That's the kind of student Crow Vision is built for.

Y. Hong came in as co-founder, Chief Strategy Officer, and Asia Marketing Director. He's from Korea and has spent years working in international education, helping students from across Asia get into US universities. He brought something Anthony didn't have: real relationships with thousands of families across Southeast Asia. He understood what these families needed. He had their trust. He knew what would actually work for them.

Together they built something neither could have built alone. The first cohorts launched in early 2026. Teachers from five countries joined. Students from Vietnam, South Korea, Mexico, Morocco, and Brazil started their CEFR journeys. And something happened. These kids started to thrive.

It's still early. The founding member price of $39 per month locked forever exists because the first 40 families who believe in this before it's proven deserve something in return. When those spots are gone, the price goes to $69 per month. The program will be better. The community will be larger. But that founding rate is permanent.

That's the whole story. No venture capital. No corporate mission statement. Just two people who know what it feels like to struggle, who saw it happening again, and decided to build something real about it.
